COMMUNITY EDUCATION

Mandatory Classroom Orientation & Training

All co-opers get an in-depth classroom orientation and safety training session to ensure the success of both students and teachers in the classroom. Each training counts as one education hour toward the four hours required for co-opers each year.

Teacher Education Evenings (TEE’s)

Each class holds an evening gathering approximately one to two times a year. This event is a time for the teacher to share knowledge on an age-appropriate topic and for the parents to ask any questions. Each TEE counts as one education hour toward the four hours required for co-opers each year.

Parent Education Opportunities

We offer several other opportunities throughout the school year for co-opers to learn about child development issues, parenting skills, literacy, or any other topics our Parent Education Committee feels the parents are interested in that year. Both in-person and virtual trainings are available. A few parent favorites are the Rock Spring book club, CPR Certification class, and RSCP moms and physicians holding an informal, informative discussion and Q+A relevant to children's health. Each parent education session counts as one education hour toward the four hours required for co-opers each year.
