Who We Are

At Rock Spring Cooperative Preschool, learning happens through meaningful play, thoughtful observation, and collaborative relationships. RSCP is a parent-led learning community where families and teachers partner to nurture curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. Founded in 1943 by a group of caring and inventive mothers, RSCP is the oldest cooperative preschool in Arlington — a proud legacy of family involvement and shared stewardship.

Our half-day program serves children 18 months to 5 years old with age-specific classes designed to meet each stage of early development. Guided by the Reggio Emilia approach, our teaching philosophy centers on the belief that children learn best through play. Experienced, qualified teachers design and facilitate thoughtful, play-based experiences that foster intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
