Board of Directors

Rock Spring Preschool is managed by a Board of Directors that is elected annually from the current parent membership. Parents are required every year to either serve on the Board or to play an active role on an assigned Board member committee. Every member’s willingness to serve is essential in maintaining Rock Spring’s outstanding and unique program. The Board and their committee members oversee the operation of the school program and work throughout the calendar year.

Board positions and the associated committees include:

Presidentworks with the staff to oversee the daily functions of the school
First Vice Presidentmanages all staffing concerns
Second Vice Presidentmaintains the building, equipment, and grounds
Secretarymaintains the records for the board, and records minutes at board meetings
Treasurermanages the funds and budgets of the school
Membershiphandles the application process for new students
Parent Educationensures parents meet the school and state education requirements
Fundraisingraises capital necessary for school operations
Hospitalitycoordinates refreshments for various events
Communicationsproduces monthly newsletter and maintains website
Special Programsmanages Extended Day, Summer Camp and other special progams for the school
Co-op Schedulerdevelops the schedule for co-opers each year
Health Coordinatortracks and maintains health records for students and co-opers
