In addition to co-oping in the classroom, parents also take turns serving as a “resource parent” throughout the year. Resource parents arrive early to set up the Playground or Big Muscle Room equipment, and then assist the classroom teachers and co-opers in the play area, helping to monitor child interactions and safety. When there are no children playing, resource parents assist the Director in various administration and classroom tasks. Parents can expect to work as resource parent between two and five days during the year.
